Valio becomes School of Business's newest partner

As of September, Valio is the newest partnering organisation in the Partnership Programme.
The Partnership Programme strengthens the partnership between companies and Finland’s leading business school.
– Through the Partnership Programme our partners get the opportunity to establish long-term and systematic cooperation with the School of Business. We tailor the cooperation according the needs of each partner, explained the School of Business's Head of Corporate Relations and Career Services Jonna Söderholm.
– For a long time already Valio has been engaging in close and productive cooperation with the School of Business in both research and teaching. In addition, Valio's CEO Pekka Laaksonen has served on Aalto University School of Business's Corporate Advisory Board and through this has helped to develop the activities of the school. Valio also has a lecture room named in its honour, which has just received a smart new look, Söderholm continued.
– Close cooperation through concrete projects with the professors of the Departments of Marketing and Management Studies has raised Valio's competency in ethnographic consumer research to a whole new level, said Valio's Director of Product Research and Development Riina Viitala.
– This patiently and systematically developed cooperation has build an atmosphere of trust which benefits both parties, added Director Tiina Mattila-Sandholm.
The Partnership Programme of the School of Business was set up in 2001. Present partners are CGI, Fazer, Deloitte, Elisa, EY, KPMG, LähiTapiola, Nokia, OP-Pohjola, PwC, Stora Enso, Tieto and Valio. In addition, the school's CEMS partners (a global alliance of leading business schools and multinational companies) are KONE and Nokia.
