Assistant professor Katri Kauppi receives special recognition from WCC

At Aalto, the recognitions are granted to six talented researchers.

katri_kauppi_by_julia_weckman_small-002.jpgThe World Cultural Council, WCC, has granted six special recognitions to researchers from Aalto University. All the recearchers have had a promising start to their scientific careers.

Assistant Professor in Logistics Katri Kauppi from School of Business is one of the six getting the recognition. She is a prolific researcher whose work covers the areas of public procurement, e-procurement, global sourcing, maverick buying, fair trade supply chains and using organisational theories in purchasing research. Kauppi has previously worked as an assistant professor and lecturer at Nottingham University Business School and Manchester Business School.

The Award Ceremony for these special recognitions and for the WCC Scientific Awards 2014 takes place 17 November in Finland within the Aalto University Academic Summit on The Impact of Universities on Economic Growth.
