Career Path: Kristina Mustonen

Kristina_Mustonen.jpgMy work history is versatile in areas of HR, R&D and sales environments with global multinational corporations and I’ve also lived and studied in the USA, Sweden and Belgium. Before Aalto, I had a long career history in Nokia, later in Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN), where for the last nearly four years I worked in operational HR.

My educational background consists of a BBA degree in International Business from the Lahti University of Applied Sciences and while working at the same time, I later received my Master’s Degree in Business Administration: Degree Programme in Entrepreneurship and Business Competence from Haaga-Helia University of Business and Applied Sciences. I did part of the Masters studies in the USA where I mainly took MBA courses in HR and especially these studies clarified by career path towards HR.

I began my Aalto career in August 2011 when I started as an HR Coordinator and since 2012 I’ve been situated at the School of Business where I currently support the departments of Marketing and Management Studies. In my current position I’m responsible for a full range of human resource related functions including but not limited to: recruiting, employee relations, policies and practices, official HR documentation and annual planning etc.

During my free time I enjoy traveling and dog shows, where you might see me as a ring secretary.
